Hotelkeepers letter to the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia, [manuscript] 1826 Oct 1.

Warner W. Minor and Edwin Conway write to ask the Board either to build each hotelkeeper a stable, or permit them to do so out of their rents. In addition, they ask for the acre of land promised for a garden to be committed to them and enclosed; if the land cannot be enclosed, they ask permission to cut rails from University property. Finally, they conclude by stating their concern at being asked "to give information against the young men" of the University. They state that they will do so only as it relates to their houses.
